Cleveland Browns roll out can craft beer program at FirstEnergy Stadium
The question, says Brent Stehlik, the team's chief revenue officer, is "How do you bring this taste of your local city, providing fans local flavor? You can't do that in Cleveland without local beer."
Available in pint cans will be seven craft beers from six Northeast Ohio breweries and a cider from a Vermilion winery. Also, four beers from three out-of-state breweries will be sold. Craft cans are $11 each, same as last year, according to Aramark, the stadium's food-service provider:
Northeast Ohio breweries:
Double Wing Brewing, Madison: P.O.C. Pilsener.
Masthead Brewing Co., Cleveland: American India Pale Ale.
Platform Beer Co., Cleveland: New Cleveland Palesner.
Portside: 216 Dry Hopped Pale Ale.
Royal Docks Brewing Co., Canton: Leatherhead IPA. (This name of this new ale refers to the old-style football helmets used in the 1920s.)
17th State Brewing Co., Northeast Ohio: Pale Ale, Kolsch.
Also, Paper Moon Vineyards of Vermilion will have Original Hard Cider.
